Reading, editing and converting documents and PDFs

Free

PDFgear

PDF editor with no watermarks or sign-up: edit, convert, merge, compress, sign and fill forms.

It lets me edit PDFs offline and much more, for free, which is super rare.

Open Source

Gander

Offline file viewer that opens PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, photos, video, audio, Markdown and code, with zero permissions.

It’s so annoying how hard it is to open files without bloat on Android. Come on, desktops solved this more than 20 years ago. This app is a blessing.
